Lemon Pomegranate Margaritas

As the Florida sun causes temperatures to rise higher and higher, my love for fresh, lemony flavors springs forward. And what better to cool you down on a hot summers day than a nice margarita? Pull out the lawn chairs, grab a good book, and brave the sun with this refreshing, summer drink in hand!

For the margarita:

1 oz tequila (I used Jose Cuervo Silver)

1/2 oz Cointreau (or Grand Marnier)

Juice of 1 large lemon (or 3 tablespoons)

1/4 cup pomegranate juice

1 teaspoon agave nectar (or honey)

Sierra Mist

Combine first 5 ingredients in a shaker and shake until combined. Pour over ice and top off with as much Sierra Mist as desired.


I rimmed my glass with sugar, instead of salt for a sweeter version. For the rim, simply wet the edge of the glass with a lemon wedge and roll it in sugar (or a mix of sugar and lemon zest).
